Take a moment to recall our deepest heartache, the most challenging struggle. Then focus on what we learned from them. The things that are most painful are giving us a reference frame for empathy and compassion for others who are going through the same thing. We have the opportunity to help others heal by sharing the lessons we learned. Have you ever had someone ask you for advice because they knew you had gone through a similar situation? Certainly, we recognize the pain in others because we felt that same pain. We recognize the struggle that others are going through because we have gone through similar difficulties. I set the intention today to allow what I learn from every struggle to be a source of strength so that when I notice someone else going through the same struggle, experiencing the same pain, I have the ability to offer them words of compassion, the ability to empathize, the ability to give them comfort, knowing that I will come out stronger on the other side. It’s when I acknowledge my pain that I find my purpose. I find how I will be most impactful to the people in my life because my experience has prepared me to empathize with others. Today, I take a moment to just recall the strength that I created from experiencing the struggle and use that strength to share with someone else. I will allow my struggle to be a source of strength and allow what I have learned to prepare me to help others. I make certain that everything I’ve gone through is giving me the ability to help someone else be strong today. I am strong today. I share my wounds, I share my pain and find my purpose.
Healing from the struggles we faced takes time. The strength it takes to heal that we may get from the compassion of other people is what we can pass onto other people who will suffer the same experiences we did.
